Session 6: York Assessment for Reading Comprehension (YARC)

The York Assessment of Reading for Comprehension is a one-to-one, reading assessment that enables teachers to develop a detailed profile of a pupil's reading and comprehension skills from an early age through to the end of secondary school.

This session will explore:

• The pre-testing preparations and administration of YARC.
• Guidance for analysing and interpreting assessment data for the purpose of identifying next steps to ensure meaningful impact.
