Minimum System Requirements

To use Testwise effectively, you should ensure that you run it on software and hardware that meets our minimum system requirements outlined below.

Devices and browsers

The Testwise platform can be split into two parts:

  • Test Administration and Reporting– Where all administration can be conducted, such as managing students, setting up sittings etc. and all reporting can be accessed.
  • Testplayer– The digital assessment environment where the student actually completes the assessment.

The two different parts vary slightly in regards to recommended devices, operating systems and browsers – please see the tables below.

Please note that Internet Explorer is no longer supported.

We recognise that schools use a variety of devices and will endeavour to support you with the devices and browsers that you use. We strongly recommend that you use those that are shown as ticked below as these have been fully tested and troubleshooted. We may not be able to resolve technical issues you encounter when using a device and operating system or browser other than those recommended below.

**Important**

Not all assessments are suitable for use on all browsers and devices. Using devices which are not supported can affect students' experience.  Touchscreen devices in particular, are not suitable for all GL assessments.
